Every recruiter we sit next to has the same complaint about outreach automation: the moment volume goes up, voice goes down, and reply rates fall off a cliff. Sequencers scale the message. Holi's outreach pillar scales the judgement.
The two things outreach has to hold together
Specialists are told to do two contradictory things at once. Send messages that reference the specific thing the recipient wrote, because generic messages get ignored. And send enough of them to make the desk work, because six a day is a hobby.
The industry's answer has been to pick one. Sequencers pick volume. Manual outreach picks specificity. Nobody sends specific messages at volume, because doing it by hand takes twenty minutes each and doing it with tokens reads like a Mad Libs game.
Outreach in Holi is built for both at once.
What actually happens when you draft
You open a candidate. Capture already read their profile, their recent posts, and any prior thread. You pick "draft first message", pick a tone preset, and Holi drafts something like:
"Saw your comment on the RCN post about safe-staffing ratios last week. The specific line about weekend ward-rounds is the exact problem the head of clinical operations at [client] is trying to solve for a new imaging service. Worth a fifteen-minute call?"
Two specific references. One clear reason. Your usual sign-off. Every reference has a source line so you can check it before you send.
Tone presets, in one sentence each
- Balanced. Your default voice, warm but professional.
- Punchier. Shorter sentences, more direct, for people who reply to punchy.
- Friendlier. More casual, for niches where formality reads as distance.
- Corporate. For clients and senior stakeholders who expect the register.
- Outlook-Safe. Strips NLP tricks and link tracking so strict inbox filters do not demote it.
You do not pick a tone once and forget. You pick one per message. The learning loop watches which preset gets replied to for which kind of recipient, and next week your default nudges accordingly.
Cadence, without the sequencer smell
Follow-ups are the giveaway with generic outreach. Same interval, same phrasing, always eight days later. Holi's cadence is per-recipient. Someone who opened the first message twice gets a different second message from someone who did not open it at all. Someone who replied "not now" gets a different re-engage in six months from someone who ghosted.
None of that requires you to draw a diagram. Capture and repurpose already have the context. Outreach just applies it.
What good looks like
Not a bigger send volume. A bigger reply rate off the same send volume. And, quietly, a smaller number of "wait, who is this person" replies, because every message references something the recipient actually recognises.
Outreach is the pillar where the earlier work pays off. Thin capture makes for thin outreach. Rich capture makes for messages that sound like a specialist wrote them, because in effect one did, just with Holi handling the mechanical parts.
